UNT Visual Propaganda

This sculpture of our school's mascot, the American Eagle, is well known among students here at UNT. It is located next to the new University Union and the Hurley Administration Building and is seen daily by thousands of students. It's very much in idealized form as it is presented flying low over rushing water with its wings spread wide open. This statue's objective is to inspire school spirit and believe it is successful in doing so. I personally feel a sense of pride when I walk by it and am reminded that I am part of the Mean Green family.
