Calligraphy, by definition is, "the art of producing decorative handwriting or lettering with a pen or brush". This visual art form utilizes writing utensils that include: pens, brushes, multi-nibbed pens, felt-tip or ballpoint pens. Many different styles of calligraphy exist around the world and have been influenced by different things found in that regions' culture. After coming across this video on artist and master penman, Jake Weidmann, I saw how powerful this art form and even writing truly is. There is a point made in the video asking how special the United States Constitution would be considered, if it were originally created in an email. This question really makes you stop and realize how mighty the pen can really be.
