For this entry on sexuality and art, I was set on creating my own work of art. I originally had the idea to draw phalluses sticking out of holes in the ground as if they were prairie dogs. I liked the surrealness of this idea but thought it would be too bizzare to include in my digital notebook. I tried to think of something I could add to this idea to make it less dramatic and also took into consideration where you would find these special prairie dogs. Then I thought to include the Cadillac Ranch since it would fit into the scene well and is also a famous art sculpture. I sketched a rough draft but wasn't satisfied with my drawing skills and decided against going forth with a drawing. I realized using the 3D modeling program, SketchUp, was my best option, but knew that it would take me too long to sculpt ten cars plus all of the phalluses I wanted in the scene. This led me to my final product, which you can see in the video above, which I call the Phallus Farm.
