Dump Truck

I found Rainmakers' Workshop (the dump truck) and also The Lovers and The Runner. I have walked by the dump truck all semester on the way to my classes and have probably glanced at it before, but never really analyzed what was going on and how it was being used in its enviornment. However, after realizing its purpose, I appreciated it more and thought that it was a unique and thoughtful piece. I think the fact that I didn't take much notice of it says a lot about how well it is able to blend in and look natural in its spot next to the Art Building. The Truck is beat up and the rusty loader is partially filled with mulch and plants. I think the piece adds character to the campus and am happy with the way it is being used because it is more than just a piece of art. The Lovers and The Runner and located on the northwestern side of campus and go an excellent job at blending in to its enviornment. They are located in this round paved space where you might actually see people interacting. I enjoy how The Runner has her leg up on the seating area and is using it to stretch her leg out.
